About Me

So here is my "About Me" page....this is where you will get all the juicy information about who I am and why on Earth I have a blog.

Ok, maybe not sooooo juicy.....but here's a little glimpse into my life.

I am a mom of three, with kids ranging from "still kinda cute" to "the middle child" to "the crazy teen." I am a legal "drug dealer" a.k.a. pharmacist and I'm married to a wonderful and supportive "jack-of-all trades" husband (just no yard work).

I was born in the South... Raleigh, North Carolina to be exact (hey, it's South.... it is past the Mason-Dixon Line) but I lived most of my formative life in Upstate New York. I love grits, Irish pubs, Snickers and stilettos.... I'm all gaga for Adam Levine and I love to dance like a maniac when no one is watching.

I'm an incurable optimist always looking for something new to jump into, and the wheels in my brain are always spinning (makes me think that Journey song....Wheels in the Sky), in search of the most profound thought the world has ever heard.....shhh.... I'm thinking, I'm thinking, I'm thinking.....

I met my husband during my college years. Got married. Had a kid...then another....then oops.....another.

Unfortunately, kids & husbands don't come with instruction manuals, so I've been winging it since 1996.

Now, that we are finally in 2013..... I'm still trying to navigate my way through marriage, parenthood and life as we know it. What? Did you expect me to tell you I have all the answers? Ha! Noooo....I definitely do not.

So, then why am I blogging? And what can I offer my readers?

Well, off the bat, I can tell you right now that you're not going to find me posting the latest fashion trend or the hottest makeup tips or anything remotely crafty. I've tried my hand at a blog or two prior to this and I realized that I am more nerdy than a fashionista and more geeky than Martha Stewart.

I'm blogging because I love to write and share my thoughts. Here on A Dose of Jules, there will be a smattering of posts on things I love and have an interest in, but what I really hope to dive into are my thoughts and views on life as I see it.

I want to discuss issues that we deal with and face everyday as parents, spouses and as people in the community.

I want to speak candidly and unafraid....dare to talk about what others are whispering, but not saying.

So, as life allows it.....Let's ask the hard questions.

.....are you ready to hear what I have to say......are you ready for A Dose of Jules?

Hope so!

Love....
